Joining EERA

Existing National or Regional Associations of Educational Research who wish to join the EERA are invited to contact the EERA President (or the Council Member responsible for advising associations on membership). Only associations covering the full range of educational research will be considered as members.

A full application for membership will include:

  • a copy of the constitution of the prospective member association (in English)
  • information on membership numbers
  • list of contacts like President, Treasurer, Office Staff and the nominated contact person for EERA / future representative of the association in the EERA Council plus their period of office.
  • web address of the association
  • a 5 - 10 line paragraph on the association for inclusion on the EERA website.

If a country has no national association of educational research so far, institutions (i.e. University with education department) may be accepted as candidate countries as well. Such institutions will need to demonstrate how they plan to build up an association of educational research. EERA will provide support for researchers who wish to build up a new national association in educational research.

Once an Association for educational research of that country becomes member, membership of the corporate person representing the “candidate country” ceases. A ‘candidate country’ is exempted from the duty to pay membership dues for a period of up to four years; the full particulars are decided by the General Assembly.”
