EERA introduces Web 2.0 features for ECER 2010: ECER is on twitter (ECER_EERA). Follow our tweets or twitter yourself by using #ECER2010 as a hashtag. There is also a flikr group called ECER2010, where delegates will later be invited to contribute your ECER photos.

ECER 2010, “Education and Cultural Change”, taking place in Helsinki, 23 – 27 August, will be accompanied by a series of side events.
In organised School visits, conference delegates will have the opportunity to learn more about the Finnish educational system.
And the Estonian Educational Research Association invites delegates to a post conference seminar in Tallinn on "Children at risk in a new technology era: from Estonia to the global dimension"

The Conference theme of 2010 is Education and Cultural change.
Cultural change has emerged as an important issue in most European countries due to increased migration.

ECER 2010 will welcome four keynote speakers.

Each EERA network will hold its own business meeting during ECER 2010 to review the conference and to prepare for next year. Interested researchers are welcome to participate.

EERJ - the European Educational Research Journal, EERAs online journal - organises a Round table discussion at the annual conference. This years focus: "Education Research in New Contexts – submerged, interdisciplinary and trans-disciplinary"

As a closing session of the congress all four keynote speakers are forming a panel that is dedicated towards discussing the conference theme “Education and Cultural Change”.

Pre-Conference is organised by the Emerging Researchers Network and offers a series of workshops and invited lecturers in addition to the presentations submitted by emerging researchers.
