There was discussion about the importance of reflecting on common theoretical frameworks and the value in comparing concepts, theories and methods across subject boundaries. The question raised in the symposium on Fachdidaktik regarding what might form a common core across different subject didactics was discussed. Following discussions at the Round Table, it was agreed to organise a symposium on Joint Action Theory across different subjects and a group was formed to take this forward which included Brigitte Gruson, Monique Loquet, Meinert Meyer and Brian Hudson. A further symposium on lesson studies was proposed by Ingrid Carlgren.
