Future Activities

NW6 members (led by Theo Hug) initiated preparation of a joint wiki-project: “Keywords, Key Concepts and Key Issues in Learning, Education, Media and Culture: Towards a Multilingual, Multicodal and Multicontextual Understanding.”

NW6 members are involved in organising a conference “Educational Media Ecologies: International Perspectives” at the University of Paderborn, which will take place on 27 and 28 March, 2012

NW6 members are involved in publishing the online journal Seminar.net. Six members of NW6 core group belong to the editorial board of this academic journal.  

2011 Activities

As a result of discussions and networking during ECER 2010, the key members of NW6 (Leo Pekkala, Yngve Nordkvelle) jointly organised three conferences: “Social Media in the Middle of Nowhere” in Salla, Finland 20-22 June, 2011; 4th International Conference on Digital Storytelling held at Lillehammer Unviersity College 5-7 February, 2011; and “Media, Knowledge & Education: Cultures and Ethics of Sharing” held at University of Innsbruck 18-19 November, 2011. Several papers were published through co-authorship of NW6 members in 2011.
