Date                 28 - 29 April 2010
Venue              Hotel Boulderado, Boulder, Colorado, USA
Organisation   Theo Wubbels, Chair, et al.

"While the importance of interpersonal relationships in education has been appreciated for decades, research in this field is still young, with an increasing number of studies appearing in journals and books. Therefore, it is an appropriate time to celebrate, evaluate and advance these efforts through a conference that focuses on the state of the field and avenues for future research: the ICIRE 2010. This conference brings together researchers, teacher educators and others interested in interpersonal relationships in education. Scholarly papers will be presented in terms of two main elements that frame interpersonal relationships in education:  (1) An analysis of the communication process. (2) The study of interpersonal perceptions.”

ICIRE 2010 is conveniently organised in Boulder, near Denver, and right before AERA 2010. With this message we want to remind you that the early bird registration for ICIRE 2010 ends January 10th, 2010. After this date, registration for the conference will be more expensive. You can register for the conference via the conference website:

Official Website

Participants need to register for a hotel themselves; the conference hotel (Hotel Boulderado) does offer a special conference rate for ICIRE. On the website you can find more information:

Also, we have published a preliminary programme for the conference on the website, including a (provisional) downloadable programme book. This can be found at:
