Best Paper Award 2009

The 2009 Best Paper Award was given to Konstanze Spohrer from University of Strathclyde, Educational and Professional Studies, Glasgow for the paper titled: Deconstructing “Aspiration”: UK policy debates and European policy trends"
The 2009 Paper Award received about 30 submissions. 50% of participants followed the invitation to re-submit their initial papers based on the feedback they received from the reviewers.

Summer School on Academic Writing

EERA e.V. starts a new series of summer schools. The five days training course "Writing Educational Research: Academic Writing for International/European journals, conferences, edited books and thesis" is designed to support emerging researchers in enhancing their academic writing. The course is given in cooperation with the University of Gothenburg, participants may gain 7,5 ECTS points.

ECER-Scholarships

For ECER 2010 the EERA and the Emerging Researchers' Network have established two scholarship funds for postgraduate students and new researchers within 1 year of completing their PhD in order to allow them to participate in this year’s ECER (European Conference on Educational Research) in Helsinki.
The scholarships will be given to applicants from Eastern European countries and from other low GDP Countries (including those from low GDP countries studying in high GDP countries).

ECER 2009 Podcasts

VETNET and Pontydysgu did a series of Video and Audiopodcasts of ECER 2009 and interviewed delegates, keynotspeakers and EERA officials. The aim was to provide a video and audio archive of the conference but also to explore the use of new technologies to open up the ideas from the conference to a wider audience.
