Evidence Informed Policy and Practice in Education in Europe (EIPPEE) is offering the following free online trainings: Systematic Reviews for Policy and Practice, Participative Research and Policy, methods for Research Synthesis: meta-analysis to meta-ethnography.

Twenty young scholars will receive bursaries for the ECER conference 2012 in Cadiz. Application deadline is March 30.

Stakeholders in SSH launched petition on Open letter to the Commissioner. 22.000 signatures in - still open for participation.

On December 6 The European Commission released proposal for the new Framework Programme for Research and Innovation - Horizon 2020. This is the result of the work being done by the Commission with inspiration from a lot of stakeholders (EERA for one) to produce a new frame for research in Europe.

Stakeholders concerned with SSH met with Commissioner to discuss Horizon 2020 and the "six challenges" being addressed by it. One of them targets SSH.
